As Financial Solutions Consultant/Account Executive, you will be a critical part of the sales team and will spearhead the effort to connect prospective customers and leads with Abaca’s banking, merchant services, and lending offerings. Financial services is one of the biggest pain points in the cannabis and CBD industries and Abaca has the best offering in the market. Best of all – the industry is growing at 40% year over year so there has never been a better time to get in.

As an early hire at Abaca, there will be plenty of opportunities to close deals with healthy commissions and an ever-expanding sales territory. You will work in collaboration with the Sales Director and the growing sales team.

What You’ll Need:

  • Passion to solve our customers’ financial needs
  • Keen ability to listen and understand pain points
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively over an email, phone or video conference and in-person meetings
  • The ability to sell financial products and services in a B2B environment
  • Trustworthiness and dependability. Integrity is non-negotiable
  • Grit, determination and the ability to contribute positively to the culture of a growing company
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Cannabis industry or SaaS sales knowledge and experience a plus
  • Hubspot CRM experience is also a plus

What You’ll Do:

  • Meet with customers via phone, video meeting or in-person
  • Discover how Abaca’s financial solutions can help prospective customers’ businesses operate more efficiently and while driving new revenue
  • Prospect for leads and drive deals to close
  • Sell commercial deposit accounts, merchant services, and qualify lending leads
  • Contribute to marketing & strategy conversations
  • Contribute to the development of customer-facing collateral
  • Build a personal brand, a network of industry contacts, and develop personal business referral sources
  • Work with the compliance team to ensure accounts move through onboarding and re-engage contacts when required to move deals to close
  • Attend trade events and expos
  • Manage prospects and opportunities in the company CRM
  • Travel to Abaca markets to meet clients and prospects
  • Assist with organizing business development events and engagements
